Fully made and dyed with recycled material
The recycled materials used to make the yarn are both production waste from factories and consumer waste in the form of used clothing and other cotton textiles.
Colouring is done using textiles that are shredded into a kind of fabric. The shredded cotton in different colours is mixed in specific proportions to obtain the desired shade. This means you always have to take into account differences in batches.
No water or toxic chemicals are used in the production of the cords. Efforts are made to limit energy consumption as much as possible and reduce CO2 emissions. The cords are wound onto a biodegradable paper spool.
Certificates
The quality of our products is crucial to us. We have our cords tested and assessed by professional, independent organisations. The certificates give our customers the assurance that they are choosing the best product on the market.
Bobbiny cords are awarded the Oeko-Tex certificate Standard 100 in the highest class. This means they have been tested at every production level and do not contain substances harmful to our health. They can be safely used in products for toddlers and people with allergies. The awarded certificate guarantees that the products labelled with it are free from harmful substances, such as pesticides, chlorophenols, formaldehyde, allergenic dyes, banned azo dyes, and extractable heavy metals.
Our labels are made from FSC-certified paper. FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council. This is a global non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting responsible forest management. This means that the forest material in a product comes from a mix of FSC-certified forests, recycled materials, and controlled wood. This certification confirms that the forest is managed in a way that maintains biodiversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring economic viability.
